Use Your Training Skills to Help NYC High School Students
Help NYC high school students get prepared to enter the work force by coaching them on resume writing, conducting mock interviews, and teaching them the importance of a personal brand. Over the years, ASTDNY Metro Chapter members have found it rewarding to participate in the Virtual Enterprises Job Readiness workshops and student evaluations have been consistently enthusiastic.
Virtual Enterprises is also looking for judges for their annual Trade Fair where students will showcase and market the products and services of their virtual businesses. Volunteer judges will evaluate booths and sales pitches on Thursday, March 25th in the Armory at Baruch College.
To get involved, please contact Nadine Laguardia at nlaguar@schools.nyc.gov. A conference call will be scheduled to review the training materials. You will be paired with other trainers and training materials—leaders’ and participants’ guides—have already been prepared
